Maybe. If your outdoor space is a sunroom or an enclosed porch where you can control sun and heat, it's fine.

While some people do use it completely outside, there are some precautions. If you’re thinking of this be sure to discuss your plans, in detail, with your flooring retailer to be sure you follow directions for it to withstand the Houston climate.

Completely waterproof

Up until recently, your only choice was tile or stone.

Now you can add vinyl to the list. While a plank is commonly thought of as a material to mimic wood, many do prefer this cut when they want to simulate stone, because of the larger format and fewer seams.

Just think: You can have the look of Italy right in Houston with flooring that resembles the stone, travertine.

Wood looks are also perfect for Southwestern decor

Here are the earmarks of Southwestern style: warm colors, such as warm wood colors or terracotta Mexican tiles and nature colors: orange, red, blue and green.

You can have the wood and Mexican terracotta tile looks with vinyl planks. Furnishing is up to you!

Benefits include:

●Style. You have your choice of many species, as well as stones like marble, travertine, granite, limestone, and slate. 3- printing makes the images vivid, with every knot, raised grain, swirl and veining in-sight. Embossing gives it more depth and dimension.
●Durability. Vinyl alone is durable, but this product is layered. At the top is a clear plastic wear sheet that protects the flooring from scratches, stains, and scuffs. It's virtually impossible to "walk-off" the image. It's so tough it can withstand pull toys and traffic, so if you have kids and they play there, no worries.
●Soft. Vinyl has a lot of “give” and flexibility. It also has a lot of traction, so there’s no concern about running and slipping.
●Simple installation. It’s even DIY-friendly, so that can add to the affordability factor. With a few exceptions, it can be placed over most subfloors, and the pieces just click together.
