Katy has put a lot of pressure on opposing quarterbacks all season long: www.katytimes.com by Dennis Silva ll.

Football season isn’t the only place we’re seeing pressure, because it’s very much alive and well in the flooring industry, especially when it comes to laminate flooring.

Laminate flooring has this remarkable ability to perfectly mimic other materials, such as stone or hardwood. Even though you most likely love those materials, there may be reasons why you still choose laminate flooring.

We’ll tell you why, but first, this entry wouldn’t be complete without us telling you that there’s only one place to buy laminate flooring in Richmond and Katy, TX, at A+ Floors 4U.

Now, here are the reasons you may choose laminate:

1. It’s budget-friendly. No doubt, both tile and hardwood are gorgeous, but there’s absolutely no reason why you still can’t have that look even if your wallet says “no.” Today’s laminate flooring, thanks to modern technology, is so realistic, even trained eyes sometimes have trouble telling the difference. You can mimic all the specie types of hardwood--and, yes, this also includes the more exotic ones, complete with patterns and colors and special textures like distressed or hand scraped. That goes for tile as well.
2. It provides a much softer fall. If you have kids, you’re probably worried about hard falls, especially with tile, but not so with laminate flooring. That can also make it much more comfortable to walk on than tile.
3. Laminate flooring is easier to install. Tile floors can be difficult and costly to install, and solid hardwood flooring installation requires a sanding process that can be tricky. With laminate flooring, strips are just laid on the subfloor and they usually just snap together.
4. Laminate Flooring is more scratch-resistant than hardwood: Laminate flooring is made from pressed wood, with a photographic image over the wood, and then topped off with a clear plastic wear layer. That all makes it more durable and resistant to scratches, moisture and normal wear and tear. It also makes it easier to clean as well, since everything sits on the surface. (Note: While laminate flooring is moisture-resistant, it’s not 100 percent impervious to water, like tile is.) It also should be noted that you should resist those rock-bottom, bargain-basement prices, because the quality may now be as good with the lower prices. You get what you pay for.

A+ Floors 4 U has been under the same management for 16 years; that means you can expect consistent quality and service. The company carries a large inventory of carpet, hardwood, tile, laminate, luxury vinyl, vinyl sheet, stone and cork, and services Katy, TX and the surrounding areas. We also offer 10 percent off products for the flood victims of Hurricane Harvey.
